Challenge

BLUE manages all of HP’s Imaging and Printing Group (IPG) promotional consumer emails across a total of 13 countries. However, there were too many operational issues and steps involved which led to overall inefficiencies between the teams at BLUE and HP.

Solution

BLUE undertook a review of the entire process flow for automation to improve accuracy and speed of delivery.

The day-to-day email operations and processes were studied and revamped. Processes were streamlined by eradicating decisions dependent on teams and individuals, instead replacing with business rules so the entire email campaign process could become much more automated.

Results

As a result of the re-engineered process initiative, process bottlenecks were eliminated:

  • 8 steps required, as opposed to the typical 16 steps taken for the same kind of campaign.
  • Faster turnaround by reducing up to 4 days of collective approval waiting time.
  • Achieved cost savings from increased efficiencies.
  • Increased country adoption and satisfaction ratings.
